Metal De Facto is a Finnish power metal band founded in 2017 by Esa Orjatsalo (formerly of Dreamtale) and Sami Hinkka (Ensiferum). The lineup also features Atte Marttinen on drums, Benji Connelly on keyboards, Mikko Salovaara on guitar, and initially Mikael Salo on vocals.

The band released their debut album, Imperium Romanum, in 2019, a concept album exploring the history of the Roman Empire. In 2021, they followed up with the EP Legionnaires' Oaths, which included alternative versions of the titular track along with some cover songs.

In 2023, Spanish vocalist Aitor Arrastia joined the band, and Metal De Facto announced the release of their second album, Land of the Rising Sun Part I, scheduled for February 2024. This record focuses on Japanese culture, as showcased by the single Code of the Samurai.

Metal De Facto stands out for their mission to "make power metal great again," blending historical and mythological themes with a powerful and melodic sound.
